Workplaces that meet established benchmarks will be profiled here on our website and receive a print and electronic certificate to showcase their achievements.

Commitment

Commitment recognition is awarded to workplaces that have just started their workplace health journey and have achieved the following outcomes:

  • Demonstrated leadership commitment to, and endorsement of, workplace health
  • Established Workplace Health Committee
  • Engaged employees using multiple channels to inform workplace health planning
  • Completed the Healthier Together Healthy Workplace Assessment
  • Drafted a Healthy Workplace Action Plan
  • Identified key performance indicators to measure success

Achievement

Achievement recognition is awarded to workplaces that have implemented a workplace health program and have achieved the following outcomes:

  • Leadership acts as healthy workplace role models
  • Budget and human resource support is in place
  • Employees and managers are recognized for workplace health program participation
  • Employees and managers are encouraged to participate during work hours
  • Mechanisms in place for two-way communication 
  • Healthy Workplace Action Plan is being implemented in all four areas 
  • Established baseline key performance indicators for measuring progress in workplace health
  • Results have been communicated to all levels of the organization

Achievement with distinction

Achievement with distinction recognition is awarded to workplaces that have implemented a workplace health program in all four areas and have achieved the following outcomes:

  • Continued support from leadership for workplace health
  • Continued budget and human resource support is in place
  • Continued support for employee and manager engagement and participation 
  • Demonstrated link between workplace health program and human resource and occupational health & safety goals
  • Mechanisms for two-way communication are in place
  • Healthy Workplace Action Plan has been implemented and reviewed annually
  • Establishment of baseline key performance indicators for measuring progress in workplace health

Excellence

Excellence recognition is awarded to workplaces that have a sustainable workplace health program in place and have achieved the following outcomes:

  • A strong culture of health
  • Organization is recognized as a leader in workplace health
  • Workplace health team is effective at leading all aspects of workplace health
  • Integrated approach between health and safety
  • Comprehensive workplace health policies and programs
  • Workplace health plans integrated into strategic planning
  • A Healthy Workplace Plan that includes all priority health areas is actioned
  • Internal and external communication about successes and lessons learned for workplace health
  • Operational performance management system
  • Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets and achievement of measurable improvements
